Happy Friday! Have you had a nice week? Did you call your mother? I hope not because it’s really silly to talk to your mom twice in one week and you had better be planning on talking to her or making her French Toast on Sunday. Because it’s Mother’s Day!
In honor of this special day, we’d like to share with you one of the videos that’s come from our ongoing partnership with local Los Angeles blog MomsLA. At Storitz, we like to emphasize the fact that self storage isn’t always a place can be genuinely helpful in leading a clutter free, organized life.
We know that moms are some of the busiest people on the planet. Between soccer practice, PTA meetings, pilates, volunteering and blogging, there isn’t always time to put everything at home in exactly the right place. Especially as everyone in the family is acquiring more stuff every day! Some organizer wisdom suggests throwing nearly everything out. In one recent New York Times article, professional organizer and mother Barbara Reich was confronted with the notebooks of her client’s son – they contained his first instances of writing. Ever. Ms. Reich, consummate de-clutterer that she is, insisted: Everybody’s going to learn how to read and write. You don’t need the evidence” and promptly threw them away. This may understandably not be an acceptable solution for all parents. Self storage can be a way to keep some of these memories safely out of sight, safely out of the way but still safe. In this series of videos, we asked some busy LA moms where staying clean and organized falls in their list of priorities. Check it out:
