Another week has come and gone, so here’s a roundup of storage related news from the last 7 days. Unfortunately it reads a little more like a police blotter…
- Police in California were seeking a man accused of a stabbing at a self-storage facility in Oroville. Sacramento police then shot and killed the suspect on Friday, after he lunged at officers with a knife.
- Two storage units in Aurora, Colorado were found to be full of stolen property when police executed a search warrant earlier this month. The property included home and car stereos, tools, handbags, cell phones and a baseball card collection. Aurora police are asking residents to look at videos of the property to determine if any of it belongs to them.
- Another search warrant, this time in Ozark, Missouri, led police to a stash of 330 pounds of marijuana at a self-storage facility in that city. Proposition 19 is not going to help the renters of that unit.
