The Week in Self-Storage

Another week has come and gone, so here’s a roundup of storage related news from the last 7 days.  Unfortunately it reads a little more like a police blotter…

  • Two storage units in Aurora, Colorado were found to be full of stolen property when police executed a search warrant earlier this month.  The property included home and car stereos, tools, handbags, cell phones and a baseball card collection.  Aurora police are asking residents to look at videos of the property to determine if any of it belongs to them.
  • In non crime-related news, The Lock Up, a storage company based in Chicago, launched a Facebook contest last week that gives visitors to its fan page a chance to win an iPod touch just for “liking” them.  The page already has 250 likes.
